Finding Jesus in a Storm: A Bible Plan

Professor John Swinton from the University of Aberdeen has developed an excellent seven part devotional bible study for the YouVersion Bible app, in association with Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries.

'Finding Jesus in a Storm' is intended to support those living through psychosis and schizophrenia, and offers gentle reflections and prayers rooted in Scripture and in the lived experience of people who seek Jesus in places of deep confusion and fragmentation. These reflections are intended as invitations towards faith, hope, and the possibility of healing, even when cure seems distant.

The passages he has chosen and his reflections on them clearly point us towards how God is always with us, even when our internal worlds are quite challenging. We hope you find this a helpful and hope-filled resource.
